Yes, we exclusively recruit for not-for-profit organisations. Our appointments range from senior support staff to chief executives and trustees across a variety of disciplines including Fundraising, Finance, HR, Marketing, and communications.

What experience do I need to move into the not-for-profit sector?

CR Search and Selection has many years of experience presenting experienced, motivated candidates to our clients. Most roles will require direct skills and qualifications such as marketing and finance, although some positions require no sector experience. However, transferable skills and positive commitment to the sector must be demonstrable.

Can CR Search and Selection help me move into the not-for profit sector from the corporate sector?

Yes, we place a substantial number of candidates from the corporate sector with our clients. A successful placement will depend on your demonstrable skills, achievements and motivations.

Does CR Search and Selection place people overseas?

Occasionally we are asked to search for people to work for UK based charities in overseas branches.

Can CR Search and Selection find me a temporary or interim role?

CR Search and Selection does not manage temporary roles. We do manage senior level interim assignments.

How can I apply for a job on the CR Search and Selection website?

Once you have found the role you are interested in, follow the instructions on the page. An applicant wanting to apply for a role that states CR Search and Selection as the company must either apply online or already be a registered CR Search and Selection candidate.

Registering your details will allow your information and CV to be attached to that specific job and made available for our consultants to assess your suitability and get back in contact with you. Please check that your registration details and CV are up to date when applying for a role. Remember that you will control your own account and can de-register at any time.

Why should I register as a CR Search and Selection candidate?

If you are accpeted, registering will make your personal details and CV available for CR Search and Selection consultants to contact you quickly regarding the latest vacancies. To be effective it is important that you maintain your account with the most relevant and up-to-date information. You can re-enter your account and update or alter your personal details and CV as often as you want.

We will then be in contact as soon as a relevant position becomes available. You can either register at the point at which you apply for your first position with CR Search and Selection or by completing the registration form before you apply for jobs.

Can I come in for an interview with a consultant?

We try to see everyone who wishes to join the candidate databases but for logistical reasons this might not happen immediately. Once you are registered we will contact you when a suitable vacancy arises.

Will you ever pass my CV to a one of your clients before informing me?

No, we will never pass your details to a client before gaining your interest and consent. We respect your right to decide and we would not want to put forward a candidate who may not be interested in the role.

How will you maintain my confidentiality?

CR Search and Selection guarantee that we will never release, sell or give a candidate's name, personal information, or email address to any other party or organisation without the candidate's authorisation. We may send our candidates email communications from time to time that contain requested information, announcements, confirmations, etc. These emails are sent to the candidate in question only, and will never be sent to third parties by CR Search and Selection.

How do I register with the CR Search and Selection website?

To register, simply go to the Register page. Fill in the form with your information, either by typing the information in, or selecting your choices from dropdowns. When you have completed the form, press the ìSubmitî button at the bottom of the page once. You will then be registered with CR Search and Selection and sent an email confirmation containing your unique user details.

How do I log in to the CR Search and Selection website?

To log in, simply enter your email address and unique password (as detailed in your email confirmation) into the appropriate box and click the "Log in" button.

I want to use your CV template. What do I do?

To use the CV template, simply go to our Advice section. On that page, you will see a link saying "Download CV template". Click on this link, and you will be able to download a Word document either by opening it directly or saving it to your computer.

Once you have done this, you will have a template with which to create your own eye-catching CV.

How do I use the CR Search and Selection Jobs Board?

To use our Jobs Board, click on the "Jobs board" link on the menu. You will then be taken to a list of jobs vacancies. If you see a position in which you are interested, click on the organisation name (in orange text to the left of the page) and you will be given further details about the position.
